Summer vibes: planning fun things and life update
Hello hello!
Tune into the July playlist because July is a great month to chill and have fun. Music helps creating that soundtrack for Summer.
Last month was a very Bridgerton month. Not only because the third season was out, but because I’ve been doing embroidery like crazy making a piece for an exhibition.
The place where the piece is right now (until August 15th) is called Villa Idalina, in the North of Portugal. It is very Bridgerton too. Why do I tell you all this? Because I tried their food and it was lovely, so I wanted to give you a little bit of context.
See those fruits? I mean, what’s not to love?
The rest of the month was nice. I celebrated solstice with my anual ritual, watching the sunset from the beach. Feeling grateful for being alive.
I ate some sardines in San Juan. It’s a tradition that I enjoyed all my life, but lately I wasn’t able to go to Coruña to properly celebrate, so I’m glad I did.
Here in Galicia, July has started with heavy rains, but now the sun has come back it’s making me focus on plans I want to be doing this Summer.
I don’t know why, but this Summer feels more like a real Summer. I feel like a child in a way, making plans with new and old friends. Trying to squeeze some time for fun (and finding it). Enjoying and laughing.
It hasn’t been easy in my life lately in many areas, but I’ve been focusing on gratitude for what has been good, even if it didn’t feel easy. So now, it’s time to have a proper Summer.
I find it funny because I usually associate Summer with working or with travelling when I was a kid. But now I am more into the Summer vibe of reading the books just for fun, going to a picnic, walking with friends and talk for hours. Drinking horchata and eating ice-cream for dessert every day (almost).
I find Summers more appealing now than I used to. I was actually talking to Marta (my new team member) and she told me she loved Autumn and Winter Season as much as I do, but lately she’s been loving Summer more and more. So I guess I agree with her in this too.
And talking about that, I’m so grateful for having her in my team. It’s been a while since I have worked with someone and it felt so easy and calm. It feels aligned.
Appart from the plans for the Summer, I’m still working on the next album, on some other things in music and, of course, other projects appart from music.
I’ve been craving writing some recipes here, but still have to organise my life a little bit better for that. The post-pandemic effect has been a bit of a roller coaster and music has taken up almost all of the space. Appart from other personal stuff that I’ve been dealing with. I don’t want to put too much on my plate just yet. Pun very intended.
So I guess I’ll keep updating on my life int he blog meanwhile. I hope you enjoy your Summer too and make great plans with great people. Have fun and keep fooding!
