What I ate in a month: monthly update and playlist.
Last month was full of food events and I am grateful for that because I’ve been missing my food people. I leave the playlist bellow so you can listen while you read. The whole experience by Sílvia.
The thing about eating food that you don’t cook is that, usually, restaurants and events center on flavour and pleasure and not always nutrition.
I’ve been feeling my nutrients a bit on the low side, so I’ve tried to sneak in some fruit and veggies every time I could.
It’s kind of curious because what other people feel like a burden (cooking nutritious food) I find fascinating.
To be honest, these past three months I’ve been limiting my time in the kitchen because I’ve prioritised other areas of my life like health and work.
Nonetheless I feel much healthier when I take time and enjoy cooking my meals. But one has to decide where she puts her energy and making three elaborate meals a day is a little bit draining when you have other things in your plate. Pun incredibly intended.
So this monthly recap is full of quick meals and other people’s meals, but also has some dishes I made in probably less than 15 minutes.
I have some great things planned for next month, but that’s a story for another post.
In another news, I ate the first ice-cream of the year and it was delicious.
And the second.
There will probably be more ice-cream this year. I’ve been missing the flavour and texture a lot. There’s something so comforting about the little things in life, ain’t it right?
Appart from that, life is going well. The ups and downs are much better now that the rain season is giving us a truce. It’s been raining in Galicia since I can remember.
Very grateful for that and now I celebrate the sunny wheather staying outside and working from my garden. Whenever there’s too much dampness, I feel it in my bones and my lungs. In an energetic way, but also physically.
I hope you are enjoying the sunny weather too, wherever you are…even if you are in the southern hemisphere I hope you are enjoying whatever weather.
See you next month. Have fun and keep fooding!
