April Playlist 🎧 – Monthly blog update 📝
This post is brought to you by Stress. If you wanna buy some, click the link in the bio…I’ll gladly give it all away.
The delay on publishing this post is only caused by stress. I know I seem like a cheerful gal (and I am) but my life is a very stressful one. I deal with a lot of different things every day, and unfortunately, most of them aren’t something I enjoy.
Writing this, on the other hand, is one of the things that I enjoy the most. Writing in general. Words are my forte: I love writing, speaking, listening, learning, reading…
One of those things I enjoy the most is writing about my monthly experiences. Why? Because even if I am a hot mess, I take the time to think and recap about the good things that happened the previous month.
That helps me put my thoughts into perspective and it’s a mindful practice that helps me calm down and breathe while doing something I love.
Even though stress is usually referred to as something bad, it’s not. Stress is very useful. But, as everything in life, you need to have the right amount of it. It’s like doughnuts, one is ok…but you’ll probably get a stomach ache if you eat 100. The same happens with broccoli. Don’t eat 100 broccoli on the same day, please.
I could be talking for hours about stress and how to, maybe not manage it, but learn to learn to live with it. But this post is about March, and I feel like I should be talking about it. Well, I want to be talking about it because it was a very nice month for me.
I could travel to Madrid to launch the new album and it was awesome. We played twice. Music, and many other cultural events, during the pandemic are being punished a lot more than they should. We had to play twice the same night because the venue couldn’t host as many people as it normally does.
It was a different experience. Gigs in times of COVID are such a different thing.
That was one reason to be grateful. Playing live, twice. Yeah, they were short gigs, but two! Yay! 🤗
We had a great time. Staying in Madrid was weird though. I think travelling is the weirdest thing to do right now. Even though Madrid has different rules than those we have here in Galicia and you can eat inside without a mask, I don’t get used to the Pandemic life. I am too used to the hermit life in the mountain. I am incredibly fortunate.
I stayed in an air bnb that was small, but had a kitchen. Sílvia always gets the kitchen. So I was able to cook a couple of things, but I also love trying new stuff from the places I visit. I didn’t have too much time, though. We had a couple of radio stations to visit. i’ll probably talk about all that in another post (I already edited the pictures, so I hope I find a slot in my calendar to write it ☺️)
Oh! I almost forgot, I did publish the playlist beforehand. I know some of you are waiting for it and notice when I take extra time. I deeply appreciate you and how much you appreciate the time I put into all that I do. You guys rock! 🥰
Among the highlights from the month of March, I would say these aubergine rolls where on top 3.
I took the recipe from Olive Magazine (one of my favourite places to go for recipes). Give it a try to the recipe because it’s too good to let it pass.
Of course I changed some of the ingredients, but that’s something I can’t help 🤷🏼♀️
Another one of my favourite things in March was that I finally bought a bass drum decal! Yay again! I’ve always thought about it, but now I’ve made it I feel like it’s official I am the drummer of the band. Silly, but cute. No? Just silly. Good, that’s what I was aiming for.
Breakfast are still my forte. I enjoyed a lot of them, like this amazing croissants with ghee and strawberry jam. As I don’t really love sugary things, I use a jam that’s made only with fruit, they add concentrated apple juice as sweetener, but it’s much more subtle than traditional jam. Hence, the massive amount of jam I used.
If I had strawberries, I’d probably sliced them on top. I love strawberries. I’ve been making a lot of recipes with strawberries. If you want strawberries in recipes, I made a beautiful vegan cake. You can click here. You’re welcome 🙂
And I probably made a ton of other things that I’m forgetting to mention. But that’s part of my charm. You have to deal with me talking about what I remember when I sit to write the post 🤣
Seriously though, I hope you are enjoying the changing of seasons. I know this past few weeks have been a bit intense for some (most) of us because of all the transits and the New Moon. I hope this New Moon in Aries brings us a little bit of action in a non-stressful way. 🌚
That’s a wrap for today. I could keep going, but I’d start the cycle of stressing out for not having the time to do stuff again. And that’s not what I am looking for. Have fun and keep fooding!
If you are craving more from me, you can check out this awesome recipe:
Or maybe you are craving something sweet and you want a doughnut (don’t eat the 100!)
Maybe you prefer the broccoli 😄
If interested in knowing more about my life, maybe try last month’s summary.
And if you are hungry for more, you can always follow me on Insta, Facebook, Twitter and Pinterest. Youtube has some stuff there too.
I leave you with this photo of a veggie Pad Thai to which I added curly fries on top. There’s dozens of ways in which stress can ruin your life. This is one 😁.
