October playlist 🎧 – Autumn 🍃 🍁 🍂
I love the rain. I think it isn’t a coincidence that I was born in October. Nothing is never a coincidence anyway. Don’t you think?
I’ve been thinking about this month for a whole year. I love the begining of Autumn. If you don’t live in Galicia (or Ireland) you probably don’t really get why I love it so much.
That smell of wet…well, everything! is so intoxicating. As soon as the season changes, the rains come, the wind blows and the leaves turn brown.
There’s something in the air that distinctively says: “It’s Autumn” and as soon as the calendar shows October the first, there’s a portion of the world’s population that get hyped about certain things. Just to say a few: Halloween, Thanksgiving, Inktober, and even Christmas.
But the rain…it’s such a gift after the dryness of Summer. It’s like it’s been there waiting until we were truly ready for it.
I’m getting into my Autumn mood, leave me alone 🤣.
But what’s not to love about drinking a warm beverage and writing a blog post while listening to October’s playlist and watching the rain outside. Oh! That’s just me, then? So be it 🙏🏻
Talking about this month’s playlist. Here it is:
Now you can play it while you read. Thanks for the company 🙂
Even for those who don’t really like to say goodbye to Summer, you have to love those colours, that smell of roasted chestnuts, the leaves turning brown, the fires in the houses making white clouds over their ceilings, the damp, the rivers flowing as if they were dancing.
My September was a bit hectic (yes, again) but this time in a crazy good way.
After releasing our new single Valiente Disonante and having a couple of gigs we started working on a new project that would be released soon. 😬
At the same time, I’ve spent quite a bit of time planning my 2021, and I can anticipate it’s going to have a lot of new and exciting things. I’m thrilled about it.
There was a lot of easy recipes in September, and I didn’t plan too much of anything.
I cooked seasonally from what the earth was giving, but also added some extra ingredients that I was craving immensely, like chickpea tempeh.
I’ve also spent some time with my neighbours and we’ve kind of made the habit of talking to each other for 5 minutes that become 6 hours. That’s the life 💙 They are good people, I’m so grateful for them.
I also went to pick some turnip greens from another neighbour, got gifted some apples and made compote…what’s not to love about the countryside? 🤗
As soon as I say I love the rain, it stops raining and the sun shines. The magic of Autumn 🧡🍂🍁 What are your plans for this Autumn? Whatever it it…have fun and keep fooding!
