Tours
I’ve been travelling to Ireland by car for half a decade now, and I still love it. I think it has something to do with being a musician. I’ve always loved being on the road, staying awake for hours driving, stopping at cities you can’t remember the name of and, of course, eating regional food.
Two days ago, one of those cities was Tours, in France. I’ve always wanted to stop there, but never actually did because we were to tired to drive for that long or because we needed to keep driving in order to get a ferry in time.
Although I stopped, it was a short visit. Enough to try some food and to go for a walk through the old town. For breakfast, we stopped at Honoré Le Boulanger. The place was tiny and just to take away, but all the things exposed looked appealing. They have a variety of patisserie and viennoiserie, as well as bread, quiches and pizzas.
Probably they have other things, but I got distracted taking photos and looking at the boulanger preparing the baguettes.

We bought some pastries: tartalette de cerises griottes, croissant aux amandes, Saint trop, a baguette, a slice of broccoli and salmon quiche and a slice of quiche de poireaux (leek). No complains from any of us, of course
And, what can I say? I always find something in French cities that make me want to stay more. It kind of fills my happiness bar and helps me keep driving, so I’m really glad France is always in between countries wherever I go in Europe (except for Portugal, of course)
Have fun!
